About this deal

Akár további két, 140 mm-es ventilátor is beépíthető. A Pure Base 500DX tágas helyet biztosít csúcs grafikus kártyáknak és processzorhűtőknek, utóbbiból akár 190 mm magas is beépíthető. Előre 360 mm-es, a felső részre 240 mm-es vízhűtés-radiátor is kerülhet, vagy ugyanide ventilátorok is telepíthetőek. With the system configured to either a balanced pressure setup with equal intake and exhaust fans or leaning slightly towards negative or positive pressure, there isn't a huge change in component and system temperature. A negative pressure configuration slightly favours CPU temperature, however, a positive pressure configuration should be optimal for keeping dust from entering the system to a minimum, as long as all intake fans are filtered.

be quiet! Pure Base 500DX Review | TechPowerUp

During stress testing the AMD Ryzen 3600X processor is configured using the motherboard BIOS with a fixed Core frequency and voltage to ensure consistency of the results, all systems fan speeds are fixed to 1200RPM. The core frequency of the Ryzen 3600X is configured to 4.2GHz across all cores and vcore is fixed at 1.275v. For all who strive for maximum performance and especially with water-cooled systems, the Pure Base 500DX White with its extremely air-permeable front and top cover is the right choice. The dust filters on the front and bottom are easy to remove for cleaning. We've opted to relocate the pre-installed 140mm top exhaust as a front intake, allowing for our 240mm radiator and AMD Ryzen test platform to slot in with ease. The build process proved problem-free from start to finish, however enthusiasts should be aware of some of the limitations that remain. Oversized E-ATX boards a no-go - it's Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX or ATX only - there are no provisions for a vertical graphics card, and an absence of 5.25in bays means no optical drive.Sound-wise, there's ample noise dampening, though I did notice since metallic magnets are used to secure the top panel dust filter, and you may notice some vibrations creating considerable noise. The test rig I built had six fans total, and it was only really an issue when the front three 120 mm blowers mounted to the radiator really ramped up. Slightly adjusting the filter solved the issue, so your mileage may vary. As before, the case offers half-a-dozen potential fan-mount locations. The front accommodates up to two 140s or three 120s, there's room for either two 120s or two 140s in the roof, and either a 120 or 140 in the rear. In terms of liquid-cooling support, the arrangement allows for up to a 240mm radiator up top, or up to a 360mm in the front, though you will need to remove the hard-disk cage to make the latter possible.

be quiet! Pure Base 500DX PC case review: Gorgeous design and

The front panel is removed by firmly pulling at the bottom edge. It does take a bit more force than expected which led to some concern about breaking the retaining posts, but after removing the panel several times for this review, these concerns were unfounded. With the front panel off, we get a fantastic look at the front filter. Although we don’t have another case at this test location to compare it to at this time, it’s clear that the be quiet! Pure Base 500DX sets an excellent benchmark for thermal performance. Its three included Pure Wings 2 900 RPM fans are unobtrusive even at full speed, offering heaps of airflow through the meshed front. The RGB lighting is very well executed and seeing not only two strips on the outside, but also a third LED strip inside the case is a great inclusion at this price. But you don't need to be an expert in advertising to realize that naming your company Be Quiet! pigeonholes you into creating a certain kind of product. ARGB LEDs offer multiple colors and modes to individualize the look of the case from the inside as well as from the outside. You can optionally synchronize lighting with your motherboard or ARGB controller. We use Aida64 benchmarking and stress testing tool to apply 100% load to the CPU, FPU, Cache and GPU for 60 minutes with the system in each fan configuration. HWINFO records the data of the CPU ctl/tdie, GPU and system temperature. We then plot the data in a spreadsheet to work out the average temperature throughout each test and present the findings in a chart for comparison. The be quiet! Pure Base 500DX is also superbly easy to work in and an excellent choice for beginners looking to get into building their first PC, as well as seasoned enthusiasts who don’t want to spend too much time on assembly. Thanks to excellent materials and manufacturing, whoever you are, the Pure Base 500DX will deliver an end result that looks stunning and approaches a premium feel.

Moving to the other side of the case takes us to the right side. The two captive screws allow us to remove the panel, and we are pleased to find a sound deadening foam pad attached to it. This is certainly not a feature you will find on an entry-level case as be quiet! continues to surprise us with little details like this. We label any sponsored post as a sponsored post, and the article about choosing a power supply that you reference was labeled as sponsored. Reply The spec sheet also lists support for a fifth 2.5-inch drive. After some digging, we found the spot at the bottom of the hard drive cage under the PSU shroud – though using it will come at the cost of room for the second 3.5-inch drive. Cooling According to Be Quiet's Pure Base 500DX spec list, there's room to mount up to five 2.5-inch drives in this case, along with two 3.5-inch drives, with one overlapping bay between the two types. The two 3.5-inch drives get mounted at the bottom of the case in a small removable hard drive cage. As for the 2.5-inch drives, two of these can be mounted directly behind the motherboard mounting tray, and two more can be installed at the front of the case. The fifth 2.5-inch mount is located inside of the hard drive cage, and using it takes up one of the 3.5-inch drive-mounting locations.Moving on from cooling, let's talk over the rest of the spec sheet that builders will need to bear in mind. You've got the usual 7 PCI slot expansion bars, two HDD mounts in a removable cage, alongside five SSD mount options. Dust filters are located on the top, bottom, and front. GPU and CPU cooler clearance is in line with other mid-tower PC cases and should fit most cards and crazy big coolers. What other manufacturers might call a cable management bar has been dubbed an “SSD panel” by be quiet!. This panel is designed to hold two SSDs so that they’re visible from the interior of the case, but with their cables hidden behind a removable plastic insert bearing the be quiet! logo. As cable management bars go, this isn’t our favorite, but bear in mind that it is completely removable by loosening a single captive thumbscrew and that there are plenty of other SSD mounting locations. The main problem is that the cable gap along the edge of the panel routes cables at a right angle. That’s great for boards that have their 24-pin power connectors pointing out from the edge of the board, like EVGA’s Dark series, but it makes it more difficult to route cables into other things, like normally-oriented 24-pin connectors or PCIe power cables. There are also no cable tie points anywhere on the SSD panel, which is something of a missed opportunity, although there are plenty elsewhere. Accounting for the space taken up by noise-damping foam, there’s about 2cm of clearance between the motherboard tray and the side panel for routing cables. The Pure Base 500DX White provides generous dimensions to install high-end graphics cards and large coolers of up to 190 mm in height. Fans or a radiator of up to 360 mm can be installed easily at the front and the top area also provides space for more fans or a radiator of up to 240 mm.
