About this deal

But, oh well, these are small complaints. Daughter of the Pirate King is an enjoyable start to this intriguing series. When Vordan exposes a secret the Pirate King has kept hidden for years, Alosa and her crew find themselves in a deadly race against her ruthless father. Now their only hope is to find the island and retrieve the treasure themselves, or suffer the consequences. The adorable moments in this book make you want to squeal with happiness let it be the crew of the Ava-lee or Alosa and Riden. In the middle of the book, the small interactions with Roslyn(who you will meet in this book) are some of the most endearing conversations I have read.

Genre: Teen & Young Adult Pirate Action & Adventure, Teen & Young Adult Historical Romance, Teen & Young Adult FictionOn a beautiful and sunny day, there was a girl sit on a bench. Her best friend who walked by saw her and she approached her to say hi She single-handedly took what could have been a fun romp across the seven seas (except not seven seas, because this is a fantasy world supposedly, although we have nO WORLD BUILDING TO SHOW FOR IT) and made it into what it is. Which is romance. Just one hundred percent pure unadulterated romance. Each of the three Pirate Lords - the Allemos line, the Kalligan line, and the Serad line - were given a piece of an ancient map that lead to Isla de Canta. (Alosa and her father are descended from the Kalligan line). Perhaps if I had read it when it was first released, I could have joined the hype and been more jazzed for it. Overall, for me, it was a good story but there was nothing really groundbreaking about it.

And yes!! She’s still half-siren, which I think is still very cool! How do her abilities help her learn more about herself and the people she loves? I was addicted from the start. Mostly because I loved the main character and her sassy personality. This was a lot of fun!! 🤩🤩 once again I FLEW through it and ended up thinking it was a great conclusion to the series! Really enjoyable 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️💗💗 Because pirated aren't supposed to look like you look and talk like you talk and do what you do. You're confusing, and it's messing with my head.” There is also a romance subplot in this series, which I do really like!! 🤩🤩 in the first book, it felt very fun and there was a lot of banter, but there was a little more depth to it in here 🥰 I do really like riden and alosa as a couple 💗💗 HOWEVER, they kept inventing reasons to not be together and had SO MANY arguments & that did get quite annoying 🙈

Aye, Captain." He lifts the tricorne off my head and runs his fingers through my hair. "I'll sail with you anywhere. I don't care where we go it what we do as long as I'm with you Alosa knows her father will be furious and is worried what her punishment will be. She has now searched the entire ship. Then it it hits her…She hasn’t searched the outside of the ship. She realizes the siren statue at the stern would be an excellent hiding place. She sneaks there and lowers herself down with a rope. She finds the map hidden in a glass eye of the woman. Then, we also have our other character, Riden. I'll be straightforward and just say that he had no personality. At all. If you would ask me now what he was like, I wouldn't be able to answer that question. Half the time, he was either boring or saying something very cringy. OMG so good!!! I love this book <3 Honestly it is probably one of my favorite books this year! As I had mentioned before, I am no fan of the cover. So I ended up just reading getting the ePUB, but man I adore this book so much I might buy a hard copy despite my dislike for the cover.I am me because I choose to be me. I am what I want. Some people say you have to find yourself. Not I. I believe we create ourselves to be what we want.” Alosa is a heroine you can't help but love. She is confident and stubborn, and her inner monologues are hilarious! While she can be cruel and vengeful, she also cares deeply, and Riden is the perfect match to her. He is torn between his loyalty to his (horrible) brother and the need to protect their red-haired prisoner, and you can't always tell which one prevails. His banters with Alosa are hilarious and their scenes toe-curling, filled with tension and heat. And swooning. The smile that makes your face hurt is a permanent effect, and you'll feel utter bliss that will stay with you even hours after you've finished this book and sacrificed cuttlefish to the Sea Gods praying to deliver the next instalment.

Her enemies, too busy congratulating themselves for capturing the Pirate King's daughter, won't even notice when she begins her search. Alosa as a pirate is something that you wouldn't want to cross on a bad day. She is not only loved, but respected beyond measure for her tenacity and will to win no matter what circumstances in which she might find herself. She also seems to grow quite a bit over the course of this book when she finds out more about her family and upbringing and a few things she didn't know as well. Her father might not be everything she thought he was, but cutting ties with him might be just what she needed to become everything she was meant to be. But freeing herself from the Pirate King is no easy task and it will take the whole crew to pull off this insane feat. If there is one crew who could manage it though, it would be that of the Ava Lee . Riden is the first mate of the ship and is in charge of Alosa's interrogation. There is obviously a relationship developing between them, but it was well done. It is more complex than insta-lust and or simple manipulation techniques. Alosa and Riden's relationship is full of tension, and it's more of a love/hate relationship, with some sexual tension. Honestly, I was not sure if I could trust Riden until the end of the book, even though he seemed really nice and I wanted to like him. His snarky and sarcastic conversations with Alosa were also really funny to read. And, most importantly, do you like your books uplifting, of the put-a-huge-grin-on-your-face variety?

Me : yeah, wait till you hear what I think and you probably want to stay away from this book. *snorts* Another small issue I had were with some of the characters. Not Riden, Alosa or the Pirate King…rather, with the “lesser” characters. Those I didn’t like too much because we never get to know them well enough. They felt too filler-like and one-dimensional. And because of that I didn’t care if they lived or died.
