About this deal

Ice cubes– You can used crushed ice or ice cubes, whichever you prefer. (Crushed ice melts faster, so I generally prefer ice cubes.)

light rum: Light rum, otherwise known as white or silver rum, is colourless and light in flavour. It is filtered numerous times to remove contaminants and is usually aged for its specific taste. Turns out, you just need five basic ingredients (mint, lime, sugar, rum and club soda) and a few simple tips to make the best mojito you’ve ever had. You won’t even need a shaker or simple syrup for this classic mojito recipe. Cheers! Fresh mint: I prefer to use spearmint. If your mint is not looking super fresh try reviving it in cold water for a few minutes to help perk it up. Don’t over muddle: This will cause the mint to turn bitter and slimy. I only muddle for a couple seconds. Just enough to extract the juice from the limes and release the oils in the mint. The start of summer means sunshine, warm weather and theses Classic Mint Mojitos. They are so light and refreshing and perfect for cooling off on a hot Summer night! I love tripling this recipe to make for a crowd!

Serve it chilled.Mojitos that are served extra chilled and cold go down so much smoother. Just make sure you chill the simple syrup fully! Simple syrup– This requires a combination of granulated sugar, water, mint leaves, and lime juice. See how it all comes together below. Also, one final tip – use sugar syrup, not sugar granules. It’s hard (and annoying) to make sugar granules dissolve. Nobody wants grainy sugar crunch in their mojito! You can also use simple syrup for a Mojito! Use 1 ½ ounces simple syrup, which equates to 2 tablespoons granulated sugar. The best ice for a mojito: crushed vs cubes To make the Easy Mint Mojito Syrup combine the sugar and the water in a small saucepan over a medium heat. Stir or whisk until the liquid has heated and all of the sugar has dissolved, and remove from the heat.

sugar syrup: A sugar syrup is a liquid form of sugar that is frequently added to drinks as a sweetener. In its liquid form, it is easier to incorporate than regular sugar into cold beverages. I prefer to use simple syrup, which is easily made with a little sugar and ensures there are no sugar granules in your drink.A splash of soda water is placed last on top of the Mojito drink. The soda gives a fizzy texture and sweet flavour to the Mojito. It further balances the acidity from the lime, alcohol from the rum and the herb flavour from the mint. 6. Garnish with a mint sprig. Carefully churn the ice along with the other ingredients for them to incorporate and blend well with each other. This will slightly liquefy the ice and mildly dilute the other ingredients. Add on some more crushed ice to maintain the cold temperature of the drink. A small increment of space should be saved for the soda water. 5. Top with soda water. One of the standout features of Fruitaco Syrup is its impressive serving capacity. Depending on the recipe, it can make 40-50 servings of restaurant-style drinks, making it ideal for parties or events where a large number of beverages are required. This ensures that you can cater to your guests’ thirst without worrying about running out of flavorful drinks.

Stir in the mint leaves, and leave to infuse for 15 minutes. Don’t be tempted to leave the mixture for longer, as the mint will start to brown and add an off taste to the syrup. Meanwhile, add mint and lime in a small pitcher or large glass. Muddle together for about a minute until all of the juice is squeezed out of the lime and the oils have released from the mint. The key to this recipe is the added mojito simple syrup.Do not skip it! It elevates the flavor to a whole new level! With MONIN Mojito Mix, mojitos have never been easier; just combine with rum, club soda and a squeeze of lime! Many other citrus-minty beverages, with or without alcohol, are also possible. Made with select ingredients and pure cane sugar, MONIN Mojito Mix is a highly concentrated, authentic flavoring offering exceptional versatility for creating specialty beverages.

Bacardi Silver light rum from Puerto Rico is the best rum to use. It is easily available at most grocery stores and reasonably priced. Plus, it is easier to find than Cuban rum. The mint Mojito recipe is typically made with a white rum and not a dark rum, but really it's whatever your taste buds prefer. Always use the best alcohol you can when mixing a Mojito, because an inferior rum will ruin the drink. In a medium-sized lowball glass or highball, add 6 mint leaves, lime wedges, and 2 tablespoons sugar, adding ½ lime at a a time. Muddle until lime juice is released and mint is fragrant. Muddling of the fresh mint leaves should be done gently. No need to destroy the leaves and have specs of green floating in the drink, making it hard to swallow -- go easy. Crushed ice is then added into the mix to chill the drink. Make sure to fill the glass with ice all the way until it is three-fourths filled. The space in between the ice and the brim of the glass allows for mixing. 4. Churn and cap with more crushed ice. https://www.thekitchn.com/an-overview-of-rum-styles-plus-three-budget-brands-to-consider-the-9bottle-bar-204634
